Grief / Loss
The dictionary definition of grief:
keen mental suffering or distress over affliction or loss, sharp sorrow, painful regret.
When I surveyed middle aged people about grief , they talked about grief in terms of loosing a loved one. Grief is actually much more. Grief is a reaction to loss, but that loss can be loss of a job, loss of financial stability, loss of a healthy life, loss of youth or loss of a loved one, etc. Grief coaching can help if you are experiencing any of the following:
- Are you grieving for the loss of a loved one?
- Do you think you have to put that loved one on a shelve and forget about them?
- Are you grieving for the loss of: a job; financial stability; health; etc?
- Are you have having difficulty coming to terms with your loss?
- Do you feel numb?
- Are you in shock?
- Are you angry?
Whether your loss was last week or last year and the reality of the loss is just sinking in, I can help you by helping you to express your feelings, teach you how to create new rituals to relieve your grief so that you can preserve good memories from any loss you are feeling.
