I spent most of my corporate career in sales management and executive business management positions often acting as a sales and a management coach for managers that reported to me.

As a corporate manager/coach my goal was to develop the management capabilities of high-potential performers, as well as to teach my managers how to be excellent managers and self-reliant leaders.

In my experience the best managers wanted to learn to be better leaders and strategic thinkers with people-oriented skills. These leaders wanted to connect with and to be coached by coaches who had a good business sense and were people-oriented themselves.
